Features of the Nymble:Blocking Miss Behaving User In Anonymous Network project

We will implement the following feature in the ASP .NET Nymble:Blocking Miss Behaving User In Anonymous Network Project:
Anonymizing networks such as Tor route trafficthrough independent nodes in separate administrativedomains to hide a client’s IP address. Unfortunately, someusers have misused such networks under the cover ofanonymity, users have repeatedly defaced popular Web sitessuchas Wikipedia. Since Web site administrators cannotblacklist individual malicious users’ IP addresses, theyblacklist the entire anonymizing network. Such measureseliminate malicious activity through anonymizing networksat the cost of denying anonymous access to behaving users. In other words, a few “bad apples” can spoil the fun for all.(This has happened repeatedly with Tor.)   There are several solutions to this problem, each providing some degree of accountability. In pseudonymouscredential systems , users log into Websites using pseudonyms, which can be added to a blacklist if a user misbehaves. Unfortunately, this approach resultsin pseudonymity for all users, and weakens the anonymityprovided by the anonymizing network.Anonymous credential systems employ groupsignatures. Basic group signatures, allow serversto revoke a misbehaving user’s anonymity by complaining toa group manager. Servers must query the group manager for every authentication and thus lacks scalability. Traceablesignatures allow the group manager to release a trapdoorthat allows all signatures generated by a particular user to betraced; such an approach does not provide the backwardunlinkability that we desire, where a user’s accessesbefore the complaint remain anonymous.
