How to remove the browser's printed page & PDF File header and footer

When any web page from the Internet all browsers automatically print the date, time, page title, or URL of that page on the header or footer. If you don't want this information displayed on the top or bottom of your printed pages, follow the steps below for the browser you're using. These options are also customizable and allow you to change what and where something is printed if you want to keep something but remove other settings.

Turning off print headers and footers in Chrome

If you are using Chrome, follow these steps.
  1. Open Chrome
  2. Click File.
  3. Click Print… to open the print preview screen.
  4. Click More Settings.
  5. Uncheck Headers and Footers.

Turning off print headers and footers in Mozilla Firefox

If you are using Firefox, follow these steps.
  1. Open Mozilla Firefox
  2. Click File.
  3. Click Page Setup.
  4. Click the Margins & Headers/Footers tab.
  5. Change the top three and bottom three drop-down menus to "--blank--" if you want to remove all the headers and footers.

If you want to change these settings, select what you wanted to be printed from the drop-down menu.

Turning off print headers and footers in Opera

If you are using Opera, follow these steps.
  1. Open Opera
  2. Click File.
  3. Click Print Options.
  4. Uncheck "Print headers and footers."

Turning off print headers and footers in Safari

If you are using Safari, follow these steps.
  1. Open Safari
  2. Click File.
  3. Click Show Details to show more options.
  4. Uncheck "Print headers and footers."
