Features of the Web Search Agent project

We will implement the following feature in the Python Web Search Agent Project:

An autonomous AI agent that searches the live web in real time to answer any question. Uses the ReAct framework where the agent thinks about what to search, performs the search, observes the results and repeats until confident answer is found. Features include live web search via Tavily API, multi-step ReAct reasoning loop, transparent step by step thought process displayed to user, handles complex multi-search research queries automatically.

User modules and function of Web Search Agent

We will implement the following functionalities in the Python Web Search Agent Project:

User types any question including current events, sports scores, recent research or any topic. The agent reasons aloud, performs web searches, reads results and delivers a final synthesized answer. All intermediate reasoning steps are shown transparently.

Software requirement to run this project

Python 3.10 or later Visual Studio Code IDE OpenAI API Key Tavily API Key (free at tavily.com) pip install langchain langchain-openai langchain-community tavily-python Operating System: Windows 10 / Windows 11

1. Laptop or Desktop 2. Minimum 4GB RAM 3. Minimum 1GB HDD 4. Active Internet Connection

How to install the project?

After you finish downloading the project, unzip the project file.

Step 1 : Download and extract the zip file to your desired folder

Step 2 : Install Python 3.10 or later from python.org

Step 3 : Open Visual Studio Code -> File -> Open Folder -> select extracted folder

Step 4 : Open terminal in VS Code -> Terminal -> New Terminal

Step 5 : Run: pip install langchain langchain-openai langchain-community tavily-python

Step 6 : Open 03_web_search_agent.py and replace YOUR_OPENAI_API_KEY_HERE with your OpenAI key

Step 7 : Replace YOUR_TAVILY_API_KEY_HERE with your Tavily key then run: python 03_web_search_agent.py

How to import database?

Step 1 : This project does not use a local database

Step 2 : Get a free Tavily API key by signing up at tavily.com

Step 3 : Open 03_web_search_agent.py and paste your Tavily key in the placeholder

Step 4 : Ensure active internet connection is available for live web search

Step 5 : Run the program — agent searches the live web in real time automatically
